How to Determine the Rebound Rating of a Ball

It is useful and easy to determine a number for a ball that describes how well it bounces. With such numbers, you can make a list of balls in their order of bounciness. You have already taken some measurements of bounces. They can be used to assign a rebound rating to each ball. (The rebound rating is called the rebound ratio in some sports science books.)
The rebound rating is the length of the rebound divided by the length of the drop. For example, in an experiment with the everyday rubber ball, the following measurements were obtained.
Length of drop: 160 cm (63 in)
Length of rebound: an average of 96 cm (37.8 in)
